Mine defense systems
2020欧洲杯正规平台Hostile forces use sea mines to deny access to strategic waterways, coastlines and harbors. Harris is developing next-generation airborne towed and unmanned minesweeping systems to defeat the evolving threat of sea mines and enable successful operations for littoral and blue water forces.
- Harris has been the U.S. Navy’s trusted supplier of the MK-105 Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM) magnetic minesweeping system since 1973 and has subsequently been involved in every U.S. Navy mine clearance operation.
- The Harris Mechanical Mine Sweeping System severs the mine's mooring chain-cables, causing the mine to float to the surface where it is retrieved and detonated.
- The Modular Advanced Remote-controlled Surface Sweep System (MARC S3) detonates magnetic and acoustic mines and allows the naval forces to safely conduct mine clearing operations without sending sailors into the mine fields.
- The Organic Airborne and Surface Influence Sweep System (OASIS) is towed at high speeds through the ocean. OASIS rapidly clears larger shipping lanes layered with magnetic, acoustic and combination influence mines that lay in wait for surface ships and submarines.
hC2 streamlines network access through an easy-to-use interface. The integrated applications of the hC2 Software Suite support various platforms including AndroidTM2020欧洲杯正规平台, PC and Web. They share data in a common format so information can be entered once in the network and then accessed from anywhere. The result is a common operational view with real-time intelligence for more informed decision making.
